Smythson Stationery Museum

Smythson have been making luxury leather goods such as wallets, handbags and diaries (the latter often including 24 carat gilded edges on the pages)for more than 125 years.

They are a brand of the highest pedigree; the Royal Family and celebrities like Madonna are customers, and their creative director is currently Samantha Cameron. The Smythson Stationery Museum is located at the back of their New Bond Street shop, where you’ll find a lot more than moleskin-bound notepads. There are wartime Christmas cards, stationery that once belonged to famous individuals like Sigmund Freud’s calling card, and memorabilia like telegrams and stamps dating back to 1887, the year they were founded. There are also plenty of Smythson leather goods from decades past.
